What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, keep small amounts of data in your browser in the same way.

What we store

Fighting Chance sets no cookies. The site keeps one item in your browser’s local storage: the time you dismissed the cookie notice, so that it is not shown to you again. It holds nothing about you and is never sent to us.

Cookies set by services on our site

Two parts of our homepage come from other companies, and they set their own cookies:

• GymdeskOur class schedule and our sign-up form are provided by Gymdesk, the service we use to run our program, and are shown in frames from app.gymdesk.com. They load as you scroll near them, and Gymdesk and its hosting provider set cookies when they do, for example to keep the service secure. Gymdesk’s privacy policy explains them.
• Google reCAPTCHAThe sign-up form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated spam. reCAPTCHA sets Google cookies, and if you are signed in to a Google account it also uses that account’s cookies. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

What we don’t use

We use no advertising or marketing cookies. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our Privacy Policy describes.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block third-party cookies, the schedule and the sign-up form may not work; you can always reach us instead: email us at enrollment@fightingchancefoundation.com, call (310) 309-1143, or use the contact details on our homepage.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when the site or the services in it change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
